Last week we shared with you our resolutions for the coming year, and even claimed we would be able to keep them until December 31, 2017, no problem! Today we’re throwing light on our very first resolution, namely to come into work in a relaxed fashion. We even created a punchline for the occasion: “work less but better”. In other words, work usefully without any tension whatsoever!
Tension, did you say?
Yes, indeed, we’re talking to you, marketing professionals…
- To all those of you who are desperately looking for the latest version of the strategy document with the excessively long name: Doc_strat_V7_DEF2_OKDefBis, and also to all those who are searching through the 2,543 e-mails in their inbox to find the contact who would have sent the finalised version this famous document;
- to those who do not know which Emilie they are supposed to see about this crucial point on orders of the Big Boss (Emilie the graphic designer, Emily the CMO or Emilie the CDO from the Media Agency?);
- to those who confuse the marketing profession with “Countdown”; to you who ruin meetings with aware and spacey quotes à la Van Damme, thereby wasting useful creative time;
- to those who relish using “to date” in every other sentence, to remind you of the campaign schedule and insidiously point out that you’re running late;
- to all those who secretly dream of the world as it was when the fax had barely been invented and Minitel was still reserved for the Elite;
- to all those who wait until 11 pm for their American counterpart to return from lunch to confirm the final file has been successfully downloaded;
- to all those who are supposed to remember the 50 passwords they need every day to connect to apps, suppliers’ accounts, user accounts, bank accounts…
In short, to all those who plan, manage, oversee, produce, track, share, communicate, pilot, analyse…
We urgently need to “work better by being agile” thanks to a unique collaborative platform
#Voteforagility (We’re warming up for election fever 😉 )
